Measure your room and furniture first. Nominal rug sizes can differ slightly; check the dimensions shown in each product option.
Aim to place the front legs of your sofa and chairs on the rug. Leave visible floor around the edges and measure before choosing a 5 × 8 or 8 × 11.
Choose a rug wide enough to extend beyond the sides and foot of your bed. Measure with your bedside furniture in place, or use small accent rugs on either side.
Allow roughly 24 inches of rug beyond each side of the table so chair legs stay on the rug when pulled out. Measure the table plus the chairs before ordering.
